Un toque de Dios

ATG Ministries

In 1976 Galo finished his studies In the Recording Institute of America in New York City and at the same time he was acquiring a PA System to do sound work for concerts and businesses. His wife Nilda and her siblings planned to do a special service for Mother's Day at their church.  Galo's wife asked him to do sound for that special day. Galo couldn't refuse for she was also part owner of the business, Galo said "Let's do it". After that special event, 3 weeks later Galo's wife talked with more of her family musicians and planned a rehearsal at Galo's home. Somehow they talked Galo into being the music director. This is the band that started Galo's music career. The members of this bilingual band were special people who were super dedicated to the ministry and music. In that era (late-seventies) the band helped change/revolutionize the Spanish Christian cultural music. Most Spanish churches thought that rock music, congas, and percussion instruments were used only to praise the devil.  The band gave them a big surprise. The band had 4 singers singing praise songs and also played the band's original music.  They also had plenty of percussion and a distinct and unique rock and roll guitar sound that wasn't used or accepted in the era.  In 1979 they released an album produced by Galo named "Un Toque de Dios". A few songs in that album ended up playing on Christian Radio. The band played New York's biggest stages, many outdoor concerts, and prison concerts in the NY Tri-State area. They also toured Venezuela. Thousands of people's lives were changed through this ministry. God did an amazing job with them.
